Depuis le tout début de sa carrière, Gilles Lefebvre à entraîné plusieurs Gardiens de but de la ligue national de hockey au Canada au États-Unis en Russie et en Alemagne.
Assistant de Vladislav Tretiak au Quatre glaces a Brossard pendant 10 ans, il a participé aux entraînements de Ed Belfour des Maple Leafs de Toronto, Martin Brodeur des Devils du New Jersey et José Théodore du Canadiens de Montréal et Martin Biron des Sabres de Buffalo.
